Your Precision PlusTM Implantable Pulse Generator carries a five-year manufacturer's warranty.

Extended Service Agreement
Boston Scientific offers an Extended Service Agreement to continue the one-year manufacturer's warranty for your Precision Plus SCS Charging System and Remote Control should these devices become inoperable due to normal wear and tear or require additional service. Precision Plus customers will receive a letter for participation in the Extended Service Agreement 60 days prior to the expiration of the manufacturer's warranty. The Extended Service Agreement is optional and the terms of the Agreement will be based on your anticipated needs and past replacement experiences. Some health plans cover prosthetic replacement for the Remote Control (billing code L8681) and Charging System (billing code L8689), but may have limits on the frequency they allow for ordering replacements. Check your health plan if you have questions regarding coverage and replacement of these items. Based on your discussions with your health plan provider, you may need to assess whether the out-of-pocket costs for replacement of your SCS external components is comparable to purchasing the Extended Service Agreement.
Eligibility: Precision customers will receive a letter for participation in the Extended Warranty 60 days prior to the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty. The Extended Service Agreement covers your remote control and charging system for another year after the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty should these devices become inoperable due to normal wear and tear or need additional service.
